Redmi Note 5 Pro & Note 6 Pro Getting Android Pie Update | Recruitment Started

Yes, Finally a Good Official News by Xiaomi, Our Beloved Redmi Note 5 Pro & Another Redmi Note 5 Pro With a Notch which is Note 6 Pro, are getting Android Pie Update Globally, Officially.

It was announced a Month ago that Redmi Note 5 Pro will Recieve Pie Update but in China Rom, So We were hoping if it will be true to get it on Global Rom. And yes its totally true. But hold on, it may take some time.

As stated in the forum by Super Moderator Baliji, Currently Beta testers are being Selected and you can also Apply for Beta testing, But be sure, Beta testing Roms has way more Bugs than usual Open Beta Roms.


This is the First time that Xiaomi is Providing two Android Updates to any Redmi Device.
Redmi Note 5 Pro was Launched on Android Nougat, then We got Android Oreo Update and Now We will be getting Android Pie to.

But When does the Update Arrives?
As stated in Miui Forum that Beta testers will be Selected till 15th of March 2019, So, it means Beta testing will Start in March and then One-Month Time would take to release Open Beta Rom.
So, its Safe to Assume that, Android Pie Open Beta Rom would be availaible at the last days in the Month of April. So you have to Keep Patience.

When does Stable Rom Arrives?
When Beta Testing is at a stage when Rom becomes Smooth and usable, they will release the Stable Update. It might take 3-4 Months to do So.
So, its Safe to Assume that July-August Would be the Month when Stable users Receive android Pie on Redmi Note 5 Pro & Redmi Note 6 Pro.
