Nokia joins the race of the 48MP camera gimmick with HMD
Global’s mystery smartphone codenamed ‘Daredevil’.
Following its successor the Nokia 5.1, the new Nokia 5.2 is
also aiming to provide the market a decent Smartphone. With 48 MP and sony IMX
586 being in hype Nokia couldn’t resist it either and if the leaks are true the
new Nokia Smartphone codenamed ‘Daredevil’ might come with a 48 MP camera with
an f/1.8 aperture and a wide angle sensor, this device is also being tipped as
the Nokia 5.2. This device will be Nokia’s first Smartphone with a water drop
notch, also at the back it is said to have a circular camera bump having three
camera lenses embedded in it with a flashlight.

Here is what the
leaks suggest so far:
- · It comes with a 48 MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a wide angle sensor at the back.
- · It will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 soc.
- · The device is also leaked to come with Zeiss optics technology.
- · And a pure display screen technology.
- · Also there could be OZO audio feature that delivers spatial audio with 3D recording and playback capabilities.
- · This Smartphone will be backed with a 3500 mAH battery.
- · The back consists of 3 camera lenses.
- · It will come with a water drop notch.

The images of this smartphone were leaked, where we can see
a fingerprint scanner also placed at the back right below the camera. The release
date for this device is not yet revealed and we can’t be certain as to when it
will hit the market.
Other than the pure display, Zeiss optics and OZO audio
feature there seems to be nothing exciting about this smartphone, snapdragon
660 soc is a basic chipset now and companies have moved far ahead of it. 3500
mah battery is okay but other brands are providing a lot more and with fast
charging, also the 48MP camera gimmick might have worked in the past but now everybody
knows it’s not a big deal. So I don’t know what Nokia is trying to pull off
with this ‘Daredevil’ of theirs. Unless it is really cheap or comes with
something more interesting than the leaks suggest, I don’t see a future for
this smartphone with crazy smartphone brands like Xiaomi and Realme around. Which
are giving the market back to back amazing phones and have not yet stopped.
