Oppo K3 with Pop-Up selfie camera, Snapdragon 710 launched in India : Details

Oppo officially introduced the K3 to the Indian market. The phone will become available at Amazon and the first sale starts at 12 noon on July 23. It's priced from ₹16,990 (6+64) and ₹19,990 for (8+128).

It comes with with GameBoost 2.0, DC dimming, VOOC 3.0 support for fast charging and is certified by Germany's TUV Rheinland for eye protection.

Oppo K3 specifications : Display
It sports a 6.5-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with 91.1% screen to body ratio, and there is no notch. It has a 3D gradient back with shaped curve.

Performance :
The Oppo K3 is powered by the Snapdragon 710 Octa-Core (10nm) Mobile Platform (Dual 2.2GHz Kryo 360 + Hexa 1.7GHz Kryo 360 CPUs) with Adreno 616 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB UFS 2.1 storage / 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.1 storage.

Camera :
 The Oppo K3 features a dual rear camera setup, it has a 16MP primary Sony IMX519 sensor rear camera and a 2MP depth sensor with a LED flash. It comes with a 16MP sensor pop-up front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture (Sony IMX471). It supports face unlock.
Furthermore, the pop-up camera module is claimed to have a life of five years and to slide up as fast as 0.74 seconds.
Oppo has provided an AI portrait mode and AI scene detection on the K3. Similarly, the smartphone has an Ultra Clear Night View 2.0 feature promising to provide better low light shots.

Battery & other Features :
The Oppo K3 comes with a In-Display fingerprint sensor. It runs Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS connectivity. It has Type-C port and 3.5mm Audio jack. It houses a 3765mAh Li-Po battery and supports VOOC 3.0 (20W) fast charging. It comes with features as GameBoost 2.0 and Dolby Atmos stereo sound.

Verdict ?
At ₹16,990 for (6+64)gb it seems to be overpriced because of the price range in which it sits on. It will directly compete against its sibling Realme X, Vivo Z1pro and Samsung Galaxy M30.
