Redesigned settings and new password manager in Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 10

Xiaomi recently decided to end the Global beta for all of its devices from july 1, but china beta continues to exist, with which we can see what features coming to MIUI. With new MIUI 10 China Beta 9.7.1, Xiaomi is adding new redesigned setting interface, as well as a new password manager.

The build with version 9.7.1 has a new redesigned settings interface, which could be the possible development for MIUI11 which is going to release later this year. In this new redesigned interface it focuses on recommendation that now appears. Which in fact is a better one to have, as MIUI 10 have a lot of features and customization users get confused and are not immediately discoverable.

The update also features a new password manager feature, with autofill functionality. Autofill API was added in Android 8.0 Oreo.

Most of Xiaomi’s sales are from budget and above mid ranges, especially in countries like India, most people are not aware of password manager. Thus this feature can  be a better option for the users to know about it and make use of, and avoiding keeping the same password for every platform.

These features are only available for China Beta ROM, users outside China will have to wait till this feature comes to the global stable ROM.
